The diversity of Russian culture and its biggest cities

Russia has a diversity of cultures, as it is a multinational state. The republics that Russia consists of have their own culture, traditions, and religion.

Moscow is also famous for its Red Square, where the following are situated: Place of Execution, Monument to Minin and Pozharsky, Lenin Mausoleum, Kremlin Wall Necropolis, The Moscow Kremlin, Upper (GUM) and Middle Trading Rows, Historical Museum, Kazan Cathedral, and St. Basil's Cathedral (Pokrovsky Cathedral).

Saint Petersburg

The second biggest city with a good status is Saint Petersburg. Saint-Petersburg is a cultural center of world significance. It is often called “the capital of culture.” There are historical and cultural monuments in the city. There are work museums (including Hermitage), exhibitions, theatres, film studios, and other places to see that are connected with the culture not only of the city, but also of the entire country.

Saint Petersburg is famous for its waterworks (Peterhof). Every year in May a fascinating, large-scale event of the opening of waterworks takes place in Peterhof. It is especially noisy and crowded on this day in the park. Tourists from over the world fill the Peterhof to see a pageant, to take part in all sorts of attractions, and to witness the incredible culmination of the festival – the explosion of fountain jets and their aspiration into the blue sky. This is really a unique spectacle that attracts, magnetizes, and sparks emotions over and over again. People are also stunned by the singing fountains, which perform a magic dance to great music with light-colored spotlights. The white nights and drawbridges in Saint-Petersburg are nothing less than amazing.
